I have been running short distances for the last couple of days testing out my knee and so far so good. Yesterday I did a brick - bike/run. The hawk was really blowing and it was hot too! All in all though considering I have not been cycling or running much I did not do badly.

I will be upping my mileage now and running every other day until I get confident that my knee is holding up. I dont think that the goal I set for myself for the Charlottesville Marathon is going to be met. My run pace yesterday was 8:10, we'll see.
I have been volunteering with the Luray High School Track Team, distance runners. Working with kids is a real eye opener and you cant fake it with them at all! Some are very dedicated, but I think for alot of them it is something to do after school and to socialize. Ha! Pretty much like when I was in high school!
