Ride through Stanley - 18 Feb 2012

I was off friday and saturday and had all intentions of riding both days since I am holding back on running until my knee heals up.  Friday morning I went to the Luray Fitness Center and did 30 minutes of crossfit.  I have been doing it off and on for about a year and I really like it.  It involves some weight training but it is mostly working your body with your body weight and no rest or short rest periods between sets.  Go from one exercise to another and change them up all the time.  I go to the Crossfit website www.crossfit.com and choose the exercises I want to do.

I was going to ride after the workout but it was still chilly out and I did not want to get dressed up in my cycling snivel gear to go ride so, I talked myself out of the ride.  Guilt overcame me saturday morning and I dressed up and took off riding about 0900.  It was a little chilly but not that bad. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/150831531 

It is a nice route with one steep hill and one long grind and a couple of fast long gradual downhills.  I felt good when I finished and was glad I rode.  I need to get in some more before the Virginia Duathlon.
